Crows have a giant’s memory?

Whenever we go for brisk walking in the morning, we encounter a flock of birds- both pigeons and crows busy pecking on the grains on the walkway.

These birds pose a kind of menace because as we walk, they hover over your head and fly at low altitudes almost in an intimidating fashion.

Irritated, we tried to find the source of their food. Someone from the higher floors had been throwing cereals and grains from the balcony, attracting these birds.

Fearing their closeness, we found out a way to shoo them whenever we passed. Husband would clap hard and the birds would immediately fly away.

After finishing our brisk walk, we would now go to a place in the park and sit on the bench for a few minutes to cool down.

Suddenly , I was taken aback by a lone crow flying low almost reaching my head to peck.

This happened again the next day.

Curious I searched the net for reasons of crow pecking on a human head.

Guess what?

It said,

The crow has great memory and remembers a human face for at least 5 years. It also holds a grudge against those faces which it associates with a negative experience !!

So that crow  remembered that we had been shooing them and it had come to revenge the negative experience?

Strange it may seem but could be true.
