“A room without books is like a body without a soul” – Marcus Tullius Cicero
Welcome to my website, where words come alive. Words reflect our intense emotions which get transformed into poems and stories.
I am a storyteller at heart—drawn to the quiet spaces where emotion lingers and meaning unfolds. Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world, of holding on to moments, people, and truths that often go unspoken.
Alongside a fulfilling professional life in the field of medicine, I have nurtured a deep passion for literature. Over the years, I have authored books, contributed to anthologies, and received recognition for my work in both prose and poetry. My writing spans genres, often reflecting the many shades of human experience—its tenderness, its turmoil and its quiet triumphs.
Whether crafting short stories, reflective essays, or verse, I write to explore, to evoke, and to connect. Words, for me, are not just expression—they are a form of healing, both for the writer and the reader.
In my writing, I seek the essence of things: the unspoken emotions, the fleeting thoughts, the resilience tucked within silence. Every piece I share is a piece of the world as I experience it—real, raw, and deeply human.
Among the genres I explore, humour holds a special place. I find joy in capturing the absurdities of everyday life, turning ordinary moments into light-hearted anecdotes that spark a smile—or sometimes, a laugh that lingers. For me, humour is not just entertainment; it’s a gentle rebellion, a way to cope, to connect, and to celebrate the wonderfully unpredictable theatre of life.
Thank you for being here. I hope my words—whether thoughtful or funny—find a home in you.

My Journey
Though I had been writing since schooldays, it was merely for fun. My musings used to be a collection of memories, experiences or anecdotes which I shared with friends for laughter.
I was added to an online literary platform by a friend. That was the turning point of my journey. I realized that I had so much to learn and improve. I started participating in all their competitions and events and soon was being given recognition and was being awarded. Though certificates are only boosting points, they kept me motivated, keeping my passion alive and burning.
Very soon, I was thrilled to have a poetry and story collection of my own! I decided to get them published. That’s how my metamorphosis from a writer to an author materialized.
My participation in an online event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav held by the Ministry of Culture in 2023 won me an award at the district level, for Lori writing.
My Ten Published Books

I became a published author since 2019 with my first book Rimjhim which is a bilingual book of poetry. That publication taught me some great lessons and I learnt from my mistakes. After that I kept on improving and evolving, and then there was no looking back. I published 6 more books of poetry and a book of short stories.
Anthologies Edited by Me
Soon, my restless mind wanted to explore something different and I wanted to dabble in editing. I edited 3 anthologies which had more than thirty contributors each, including young talents. Editing gave me newer perspectives about story lines and themes.

Anthologies Co-Authored by Me
I was not only writing for online events but started contributing to anthologies as a co-author. It was indeed a new high as I shared space with many other erudite writers.
There are three projects which are very close to my heart. One is the anthology “Trails of hope” which dealt with teaching strategies for differently abled people. It gave me a totally humbled feeling, filled with gratitude for everything that we have got and yet take for granted.
The second one is a poem that I wrote on ‘National Girl Child day’. It was about saving the girl child. Being a gynecologist myself, I have witnessed how parents yearn for male progeny. We then play the role of a counsellor more than a doctor advising them against infanticide.
The third one is the anthology ‘Lass and Lad verses‘ which has verses for toddlers and preschoolers and this was gifted to all schools and libraries to promote reading for pleasure.
The journey of writing is in a way spiritual too. It serves as an outlet to express our feelings, generates positivity and creativity and helps in healing.
