Dr. Mathews Koshy, the head of the AI in the prestigious Institute
of Kochi, had been putting in years of dedication and hard work
into his brainchild. He was researching on ‘AI and Emotions’ and
was painstakingly inventing a cyborg. This was an integration of a
human and a robot. There had been many a project wherein human
intelligence was being captivated and tapped and a hybrid made.
But Dr. Koshy had a different vision altogether. He wanted to instil
emotions into the machine and if this worked, the world would be a
miracle.
We could control our negativities while enhancing our positivity.

Dr. Koshy walked into the institute with elan and poise. As his
colleagues looked on, he was with a tall, beautiful lady walking
elegantly beside him with grace. Her mesmerizing emerald eyes
were like deep oceans and her well chiselled facial features was from
another world.
Hi all! Meet my niece Avira who has just finished her masters from
the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of technology.
The enchanting silence was broken by his baritone voice.
Avira broke into a smile and everyone present were taken into an
ethereal aura.
In walked Joe Zacharia, the most handsome eligible bachelor who
anyone would want to befriend and woo. His sharp intellect and
whacky sense of humour would make anyone floor for him.

Joe was also Dr. Koshy’s blue eyed poster boy who was not only his
junior colleague but also his aide and confidante.
Hey Joe! meet my niece Avira…She has just finished her masters
in Computers from Massachusetts and is going to assist me in my
projects.
Hey Hi! said both as they looked each other enthusiastically.
It was an eventful day. The whole team was busy with one or the
other upcoming projects and for this there were meetings, workshops,
hands-on trainings and what not.
Evening saw Dr. Koshy and Avira enjoying their cuppa on the terrace
and Dr. Koshy could not resist himself from asking:
Avira! so how was your day? How did you find Joe?
Avira spoke matter-of-factly
Uncle It was full of activities and enthusiasm. Work really gives me
the high. And Joe was really good to have along.

Dr. Koshy removed his gaze from her as he sat down on his laptop to
continue with his research.
The next day and the next…..
Each day would find the institute bustling with activities and the topic
of everyone’s conversation now was Avira, her charm, her beauty and
more so her so called closeness with Joe.
Hello Joe! Dr. Koshy had called him to his chamber. How are things
going my dear? And how did you find my niece? Have you fallen for
her yet?
Joe was startled by this direct question, but he composed himself
and said Yes Dr. Koshy Those updates have been sent to you on mail.

Tomorrow, Dr. Sanghvi and his team are arriving to discuss the new
upcoming project and……
What about Avira Joe? I asked you something….” Dr. Koshy had cut
him short.
Well, Avira is very nice to work with and we really get along well….”

Dr. Koshy was having his dinner with Avira. After dinner, he called
her to ask
Avira! How about marrying Joe? What do you say? He is a very good
match for you and shall keep you happy.
Avira didn’t answer and left the room. Dr. Koshy clearly had worrying
lines on his face. After all, he was wanting the two to fall in love and
marry.

The next day he saw a crumpled paper near the hallway. Probably the
maid had
forgotten to dump it. He opened it. It was a printout with the following
list:
Falling in love = adore, desire, long for
Happy = cheery, merry, jovial
marry = wed, to tie the knot, walk down the aisle
…
…
Lost in thoughts as Dr. Koshy reached the institute, he saw Joe
tirelessly sitting on the computer typing. He walked in and read from
behind

Fallen for her = adore, smitten, love

Dr. Koshy had a very busy schedule on the following day.
He had to work on a very important software on both his inventions.
Avira and Joe
Both now had to be programmed to feel, and fall in love!
