Dr. Lalita Vaitheeswaran is a gynecologist and a bilingual author writing in both Hindi and English.
Besides catering to her patients in the most caring and sensitive manner, she spends her time pursuing her passion for creative writing.
She has authored four books of poetry in English namely, Whispering Leaves, Words as Wizards, Meandering Meadows and A Lantern for the Wind, and a book of short stories in English namely Beside the Brook.
She has authored three books of poetry in Hindi namely, Jhanjhar- झाँझर -शब्दों की झंकार, Pravaah- प्रवाह -एक अनुभूति and Kavya Kalarav-काव्य कलरव -कविताओं की चहक
She has also authored a bilingual book of poetry in Hindi and English namely, Rimjhim– रिMझिM.
She has a collection of anecdotes and micro-poetry to be published soon, in the near future.
She has been the editor of the anthologies ‘Heartstrings and Echoes’, ‘The Impish Lass Navrasa’ and ‘Twilight Tales-A mosaic of moments’ all published by The Impish Lass Publishing House, which has more than thirty contributors each.
She is the inhouse editor of the Obstetrics and Gynecological society of Noida (NOGS) and a regular contributor to many magazines and newsletters.
Most of her creative pieces in both Hindi and English are recipients of various awards in literary societies. She was one of the winners of the Wordsmith Award 2021 and the Hitesh-Biva Memorial award 2021 in the events held by the Asian Literary Society.
Her participation in an online event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav held by the Ministry of Culture in 2023 won her an award at the district level, for Lori writing.
She has contributed to many anthologies across the globe and is part of the world’s largest anthology “Songs of Peace” that has co-authors from more than 139 counties of the world
She also has a keen interest in music and has been the recipient of many awards in online singing competitions.
